How to Setup PPC Ads – For Beginners

how to create ppc ads

Digital marketing is playing an appreciable role to promote the business at present time. and PPC is a great medium in digital marketing to be visible quickly on search engines. If you are new in digital marketing or a student who is studying about Pay per click then must go through the article.

How to set up google ads?

You must have a Gmail id if you are planning to run the google ads. and follow the below-mentioned steps.

  • Go to google planner and log in by Gmail id
  • If you are new, google will ask you to create Google ads account so click on that.
  • Click on the switch to expert mode (Bottom of the page)
  • Now click on (Create an account without a campaign)
  • Then Google will ask you to choose the Timezone, currency, and billing, and country. Choose accordingly and click on Explore the account

This is not enough to do it for running the ads, it is the 1st level of the game, let’s go for the next level.

  1. Do Brainstorming:

First, you should create some strategy what you offer? who is your audience? what they think and do etc.

Before creating the campaign it is important to know about your customer and the way to read them. Thus it is sufficient to crack the conversion. Without doing this you would just show the ads to the wrong people cause of low conversion.

2. Keyword Research

A keyword is everything in the search engine, you must research the list of keywords

How to do research?

  1. First, think like the customer’s mind, what will you put on Google while searching the relevant products.
  2. There are many tools but I would suggest google planner because it is free but having vast data.
  3. Choose Long term and phrase types but should be relevant to your products and service.

3. Negative keywords:

Negative keywords mean the list of keywords that you want to remove from your search.

In simple languages, I would say, some keywords in removing the folder, by that your ads would not show.

Understanding the list can be possible once ads start goes live and you would see some keywords which irrelevant but Google shows the ads. So you can mark them as negative keywords. More understanding negative keywords I would discuss in advance PPC article. and you must hire a PPC expert like us who can help much better to filter the negative keyword to save your money.

4. Create Engaging post

Write simple text which easily represents the meaning of ads. Your visitors would not have enough time to read all content of your ads. so the title of the ad should be simple and easy to understand for producing the engagements.

For this, you must research on the internet what your competitor is writing on title and description. and do some brainstorming about what should you write to create engagement without a content writer.

5. Put an active contact number

You should add the number where your team is always active to attend it because many users prefer to do the call to know about the service and products you are offering through the ads. But sometimes people think we are running ads to get the conversion by visiting our website and filling the form that is a very big way to create the conversion.

6. Adding the extension

Google planner provides several extensions like site link, callouts, location, snippet, and much more to making advertainment more engaging. Sitelink Extension helps to represent multiple page of the website in single ads which increase the chances of understanding your service by a single view.

This is just the basic PPC ads creation and I think it is sufficient to understand for beginners. Rest I would also love to add and advance the article to encourage the conversion rate.

Note: PPC is a very effective medium to increase the traffic on your website. but you have to brainstorm before clicking on the button of advertisement.

You must recognize…

What do you offer?

Who is your customer?

What do they put on google while finding services as you provide?

What type of text should you use to make conversions based on your customer’s thoughts, education, and behaviors?

Rest we will discuss more in-depth about advanced PPC in the next article!

Thanks,
